The Body Is Not Something to “Fix”

The Body Is Not Something to “Fix”
~ Restoration Through Remembering ~

In many approaches to self‑care,
we often hear the word “align” or “fix.”

Fix your posture.
Fix your breathing.
Fix your nervous system.

Of course, these things matter.

But on a deeper level,
your body already knows
how to do all of this.

From the moment we are born,
the body carries an innate sense of harmony.

Like a baby who naturally breathes.
Like an animal who simply rests when it is tired.

The body
is inherently wise.

So why do we feel
such a strong need to “fix” it?

In many cases,
it is because we have not listened to our body
for a very long time.

Busyness.
Expectations.
The pace of the world.

Within all of this,
we learn to follow the instructions of the mind
instead of the messages of the body.

In a somatic approach,
we don’t try to control the body.
We create time and space
for the body to remember.

Breathing slowly.
Feeling the soles of your feet.
Sensing the weight along your back.

Inside these simple sensations,
your body gradually begins
to return to its own rhythm.

This is not “correction.”
It is restoration.

The word “Corpsence”
holds the resonance of “Body” and “Presence” —
the body and the state of simply being here.

When we return to the body,
we come back, at the same time,
to who we are in this very moment.

You don’t have to become anything.

Just
be here.

Within that quiet sense of presence,
your body once again
starts to move toward its natural harmony.
